Guided Biofilm Therapy is a different technique in comparison to traditional dental cleaning. It shows patients exactly where there is a buildup of bacteria on their teeth using a purple film. Faye Donald, a registered dental hygienist, walks us through the process from start to finish, explaining how it deep cleans a mouth more effectively than traditional methods.

Wisdom Tooth Removal in Amarillo TX: Kristen | Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of the Panhandle Region - http://panhandleoralsurgery.com
Wisdom teeth, or Third molars, are an additional set of teeth, which grow under the surface of the gums and, in many cases, are undetectable without proper x-ray evaluation or 3-D scanning. It is not uncommon for teens and adults to be unaware that these wisdom teeth exist in their mouth until they begin to present significant problems. In some cases, the third molars may fully grow into the mouth or partially grow into the mouth and additional issues may arise. Unfortunately, the majority of people do not have a long enough jaw bone or a large enough mouth to accommodate these teeth. Wisdom tooth removal by a licensed Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon will provide the highest quality surgical expertise for the surgical process.

We provide surgery services to Amarillo, TX, and surrounding Panhandle region of Texas. He is an expert in numerous aspects of facial surgery including facial trauma and reconstructive surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, and orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Park was wonderful with them. He was real personal; he sat down with each one of them and kind of calmed their fears. He’s funny and kind of cool, and the boys like him. So it just really put their fears at rest. We are grateful for Dr. Park, and my two other boys, when they need their wisdom teeth, we will be here in this office to get them done.

Wisdom tooth removal itself is a traumatic procedure, which involves a little bit of bone cutting, bone shaving and the reflection of the flap or the gums and when you do so much of traumatic procedure during the removal, the body responds to the swelling and inflammation in the localized region. So it is normal to expect an amount of swelling and inflammation in the cheek region and which comes back to normal by the 5th to 6th day and it is the normal defense mechanism of the body, the normal healing process.
