Here is a wisdom tooth removal that I completed in 44 seconds start to finish!
Wisdom teeth extractions aren't always as difficult as you picture. This patient had pain that we were able to relieve extremely quickly. We called her the following day and she had a lot of relief, and then she called the following day to say that her pain was almost completely gone.
This is a very satisfying treatment to be able to offer someone to get them out of pain.

Teeth extractions are a common procedure in most oral surgery offices, including our office in Amarillo, Texas. Extractions are only recommended when removing a tooth will preserve the health of your other teeth and oral structures. Oral surgeons are trained to extract teeth efficiently and safely, eliminating any threat that may compromise your oral health. Sometimes your dentist can repair a damaged tooth through fillings, root canals, or other dental procedures, but in more severe cases, an extraction is the only way to treat a problem tooth. If you have one or more teeth that need to be removed, our oral surgeons will outline your treatment options during a consultation appointment. If you are worried about having missing teeth, we offer permanent tooth replacement solutions such as dental implants. The dental implant can sometimes even be placed during the same procedure as a dental extraction to minimize the number of procedures necessary to restore your oral health.

The eruption of wisdom teeth is troubling for many as impaction causes them to disrupt the neighboring molars. Removal of wisdom teeth is common these days and their complexity differs from person to person. Generally, removing the upper wisdom teeth is a less complex procedure as seen in this straightforward case.

Wisdom tooth removal or third molar removal is a run off the mill type surgery performed at Richardsons dental and Craniofacial Hospital, TamilNadu, India.
What were the patients complaints?
This patient in his fourth decade of life, had recurrent food impactions in the region and that also caused him a lot of pain.
This was occurring very often. As often as once in a couple of months.
What was done at Richardsons?
A cone beam CT scan was taken and the position of the tooth was clearly studied in relation to the inferior alveolar nerve. The tooth was lying down in a forward position, called mesioangular.
The surgery of dis impaction was planned under local anesthesia, however in the operation theatre.
How long did it take?
With the experienced team at Richardsons dental and Craniofacial hospital, it hardly took 20 minutes to retrieve the tooth.
Later on, as you can clearly see in the video, sutures were placed with vicryl 3.0. The advantages of using this material is that the sutures don’t have to be removed.
When would the sutures be removed?
They need not be removed as resorb-able stitches were used.
How long is the healing?
Healing not only depends on the type of the impacted wisdom tooth, but it also depends
On how efficiently and effectively the surgeon does the job of delivering the tooth.
Usually doesn’t take more than a few days.
Where is Richardsons?
Located in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, India

Care after extraction can be broadly divided into the initial 24 hours, as well as after 24 hours, it can be broadly divided into these two categories. in the initial 24 hours, a s soon an the extraction is done, patient should hold on to cotton and bite onto it and he has to be continuously swallowing salvia, the main thing is you should not spit and you should be continually swallowing. Care should be taken that he should not bite onto his lip or cheek , which will be numb because of anesthesia. After an hours’ time if the throat permits, then he can have an ice-cream and take the medications that are given to the patient. After that he has to apply icepack for around 20 minutes per hour till he goes to bed and this has to be continued for initial 24 hours. Regarding food the patient can eat something soft and it should be room temperature and nothing hot and nothing spicy. The other most important thing is no smoking or no alcohol for the next 24 hours. After 24 hours routine hygiene measures can be started. patient can start rinsing his mouth after every meal. He can continue brushing even in case of the extraction region is sutured or the surgical region is sutured. There is no needed for any change in the day to day routine.
