At our practice, we pay a lot of attention to ongoing preventive treatment. Regular care is the best way to insure a lifelong healthy smile and an accompanying sense of self-confidence. To protect your oral health, you should schedule dental visits at least twice a year. Your hygienist will clean your teeth, and Dr. Tran will conduct an exam. Checking for decay, gum disease, and misalignment, he can diagnose and treat these conditions in the earliest stages.
Dr. Nghi Tran, DDS, FAGD, FICOI, is committed to your lifelong dental health. At his practice, he and his entire team are always ready to answer your questions. At Alexandria Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center, we will do everything possible to save a natural tooth. If extraction is the best option for you, your surgeon can create a treatment plan to remove your teeth efficiently and safely at one of our offices in Alexandria, LA, or Vidalia, LA. Sometimes tooth decay, injuries, and other problems lead to irreparable tooth damage. When restorative treatments, such as root canals, can’t save a tooth, removal may be the only option to prevent infections from spreading. Our surgeons can also provide options to replace your missing teeth, such as dental implants.
Dr. Smith received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Occidental College in 1988, after which he was part of a research team at Children’s Hospital of LA studying retinal cancer. He then decided to continue his education by earning his law degree at the University of Oregon. As a lawyer, he fiercely advocated for the right of his clients, and he carried that passion for helping people over into his medical career. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health & Sciences University, followed by a general surgery internship at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. He was drawn to the precise techniques involved in oral surgery, and completed an oral surgery residency program at the University of Louisville in 2006.

Wisdom Tooth Removal in Amarillo TX: Kristen | Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of the Panhandle Region - http://panhandleoralsurgery.com
Wisdom teeth, or Third molars, are an additional set of teeth, which grow under the surface of the gums and, in many cases, are undetectable without proper x-ray evaluation or 3-D scanning. It is not uncommon for teens and adults to be unaware that these wisdom teeth exist in their mouth until they begin to present significant problems. In some cases, the third molars may fully grow into the mouth or partially grow into the mouth and additional issues may arise. Unfortunately, the majority of people do not have a long enough jaw bone or a large enough mouth to accommodate these teeth. Wisdom tooth removal by a licensed Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon will provide the highest quality surgical expertise for the surgical process.
As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Bryan Bailey at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Panhandle Region manages a variety of issues relating to the mouth, gums, teeth, and general facial region. The surgical procedure is shown step by step.
Sometimes a tooth does not erupt due to being impacted in the maxilla or in the mandible, and the baby tooth related is still present on the mouth or either missing, leaving a gap or a maloclussion problem.

What is a dry socket? Why does it happen ? How long does it last? Which is the treatment? Here we explainthe infection after tooth extraction:
00:00 Introduction:
This 3d video from Clínica Médico Dental Pardiñas (http://j.mp/cPardinas) shows the origin of dry socket, its treatment and its prevention.
00:08 Healing after tooth extraction:
After performing a dental extraction, the place on which the roots of the tooth are settled, called the alveolus, is exposed, forming a blood clot on it, thus generating the first stages of healing and protecting the nerve endings of the empty dental socket.
00:21 What does dry socket look like:
Occasionally, this clot may not form due to various factors, or it may disappear due to contamination by food debris or smoking during this healing phase. This produces a process called dry socket. When the nerve endings are exposed, intense pain is generated in the area, which usually appears during the first 3 days after a tooth extraction.
00:48 Dry socket treatment:
The main treatment is symptomatic with pain medication. It is also important to remove food debris by irrigating the area with saline solution. Curetting of the socket may be indicated to decontaminate the bone surface and cause bleeding for a new clot to form.
01:27 Treatment with Plasma Rich in Growth Factors:
Another effective treatment is the placement in the alveolus of plasma rich in growth factors, since it has bacteriostatic properties and favors tissue regeneration. It can also be used preventively, placing it at the time of extraction.

Infected or broken teeth often cannot be repaired and must be removed. If there is enough bone in the jaw, a dental implant can be used to replace the removed tooth. Dr. Benjamin Yagoubian is an oral surgeon at Torrance Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center who can perform removal of an infected/broken tooth at our facility in Torrance, CA.
In this short video, Dr. Benjamin Yagoubian discusses one of his patients who required removal of an infected/broken tooth. Dr. Yagoubian explains that the patient had a badly infected and broken tooth that needed to be removed. You will see short clips of the actual patient during the removal of an infected/broken tooth. The tooth socket was cleaned, and a graft was placed to help increase the bone. Months later, the patient returned to Torrance Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center to have the titanium post for their dental implant inserted to replace the missing tooth. Dr. Yagoubian performed the implant procedure, which will allow a prosthetic tooth to be attached to the implant to restore normal function for the tooth.
If you require removal of an infected/broken tooth, Torrance Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center can perform both the extraction and dental implant procedure. Call our facility in Torrance, CA to schedule an appointment.

Tooth Extraction in Lubbock TX: Jordan | Hill & Ioppolo Oral & Dental Implant Surgery of Lubbock - https://lubbockoralfacialsurgery.com
Wisdom teeth are the final set of teeth to grow in the mouth and usually reach full development by a patient’s early twenties. At Hill & Ioppolo Oral & Dental Implant Surgery of Lubbock, our oral surgeons specialize in extracting teeth and have years of training and experience. Not everybody needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but the best way to find out is to visit an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for a consultation. Our team in Lubbock, TX, can determine whether your wisdom teeth pose a risk to your oral health and if you need to have them removed. When wisdom teeth don’t have enough room to grow, they cause problems for the rest of your teeth and other structures in the mouth. Wisdom teeth removal is a simple procedure that can prevent problems from arising and preserve your overall oral health.
Dr. Ioppolo finished his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University. He then went to dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2005. After dental school, he finished an oral and maxillofacial residency program to complete his training at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He gained years of experience treating performing reconstructive surgeries, facial trauma management, extractions, and dental implant procedures.

He believes in partnering with his patients to develop a plan for treatment. By allowing patients to be actively involved in their care, Dr. Claussen believes that they will be able to make informed decisions with regard to their treatment and feel more at ease during the procedure.
"Hi, my name is Lisa. I live at Panama City Beach. My daughter Carly is going to have her wisdom teeth out here with Dr. Eric Claussen. I'm really excited that Dr. Claussen is here in town and that we are able to go to him because I just wouldn't put Carly with just anyone. He is the best oral surgeon that I know of here in Bay County. Dr. Claussen is very personable. He takes the time with his patients. When Carly and I came here for our first visit, he took a lot of time with us and explained everything that was going to happen with Carly and what to expect. We were just really graciously informed of everything that was going to be happening with her surgery. I'm comfortable about it and I know Carly is, too. If there's some parents out there that are having their children’s wisdom teeth out, you're going to be in great hands. He's the best oral surgeon that I know of."
