During pregnancy, extraction is again a controversial thing as agreed by most of the doctors. Extraction, if it is rarely required, it has to be diagnosed properly and depends on when the pregnant lady is entering the clinic. Most of them apart from the gynaecologist, even the dental doctors don’t have the knowledge of dental lasers because if you are using the dental lasers, it can be done at any trimester of pregnancy, the second thing is ofcourse seething related to gums that can be postponed, yes, we do something called as operculectomy, that can be done and it can be postponed and ofcourse extraction can be postponed later after pregnancy, the patient is very happy with whatever we do related to operculectomy. If the problem persists even after the operculectomy is done, and that can be done even with the laser that is completely bloodless, painless and the patient need not have any tablets, which is more controversial when they meet the gynaecologist why this can be taken or not or is this tablet can be stopped. So there is a lot of controversy with the antibiotics or painkillers. So the best way to go is, we use the spray or gel to take out the operculectomy procedure and then it can be done easily with that, If the problem persists, it can be done extraction, at any give time of pregnancy. Not only extractions, even minor surgical procedures also can be done with lasers is completely safe.

this case is pretty straight forward. Impacted wisdom tooth (lower left, #17).

Unfortunately, the patient has poor oral hygiene, which may negatively affect his post op recovery.

Healthy 20 year old male. Performed under local anesthesia with no sedation. the patient tolerated the procedure very well.

A wisdom tooth or third molar is one of the three molars per quadrant of the human dentition. It is the most posterior (most distal) of the three. Wisdom teeth generally erupt between the ages of 17 and 25.[1] Most adults have four wisdom teeth (a third molar in each of the four quadrants), but it is possible to have fewer or more, in which case the extras are called supernumerary teeth. Wisdom teeth commonly affect other teeth as they develop, becoming impacted or "coming in sideways". They are often extracted when this occurs.

What Are Wisdom Teeth? :

The third molars, known simply as wisdom teeth, erupt between the ages of 17 and 21 years old. The average person’s mouth will comfortably hold 28 of the 32 teeth we are predisposed to have. Since the wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt, there is often little room left to accommodate their size and anatomy.
During your check-up, Dr. Rajat Sachdeva M.D.S. may take x-ray to diagnose the need for their removal. This x-ray gives the dentist a clear view of the area around the wisdom teeth, to determine the type of extraction necessary for each tooth. If you require surgery to remove your wisdom teeth, it is helpful to prepare yourself before your appointment for a speedy recovery.
Why Are Wisdom Teeth Removed? :

They are erupting in to an abnormal position, such as tilted, sideways or twisted.
They are trapped below the gum line due to lack of space.
An infection has developed from trapped food, plaque and bacteria, known as pericoronitis.
The way the patients teeth bite together has changed, causing misalignment of the jaws.
The erupted wisdom tooth lacks proper hygiene, because it is hard to reach, resulting in tooth decay.
How Are Wisdom Teeth Removed? (Painless Way) :

After any elected methods of sedation have started to take effect, the Dr. Rajat Sachdeva will start the procedure by:

Numbing the tooth and tissues in the area of the mouth, where the wisdom teeth are located, with local anesthetic.At Rajat Sachdeva Dental we Use Ultra Thin Needles And Instrument From Septodent France For Painless Anaesthesia.
Any tissue and bone that is covering the tooth will be removed with the HITECH surgical instruments.
Extraction instruments are used to loosen the tooth from any connective tissue in the tooth’s socket.
Once the tooth is loose enough, the Dr. #Rajatsachdeva removes it with dental forceps.
It may be necessary for the dentist to use stitches to close the tissue to aide in the healing process. Follow all of the instructions after surgery for a full recovery.
