This is a video of impacted teeth removal.The patient was having severe pain in her tooth and was searching for an emergency dentist near her place in Dubai,Ajman,UAE.As this surgery is usually performed by oral surgeons,she was referred to me.She was worried about wisdom teeth removal pain when she arrived and had read a lot about it on google and youtube.She also mentioned that she had undergone a tooth extraction before and was terrified of the same.She had developed pericoronitis with the tooth.Patient was given preop antibiotics and the impacted wisdom teeth removal for this emergency patient was finished in about 10 minutes.As pericoronitis was present preop,post op antibiotics were prescribed as well.Silk sutures were used for closure.

Sialolithiasis is a condition where a mass or stone usually calciulm, forms in a salivary gland, usually in the duct of the submandibular gland like in this case, which can obstruct the flow of the saliva towards the mouth. Hello everyone, today we are going to discuss the DOs and DONTs after tooth extraction.

1. After tooth extraction, you should apply cotton gauze for five to ten minutes, then remove the cotton gauze with clean fingers after 10 minutes.
2. After the tooth extraction, you should have Ice Cold Ice Cream applied to the extracted site, it will help in stopping the micro bleeding. You should apply the Ice Cold Ice Cream to the wound site while having it. If ice cream is not your thing, you can also have fresh juice, but don't use a straw to drink it. You can even drink ice-cold water instead of juice.
3. Do not eat anything hot or spicy for the next three days. Hot food generally irritates the wound and delays wound healing. If there is swelling, extraoral give a good ice compression and do not give hot compression.
4. Do not interfere with the wound healing with unclean fingers or any other unclean instruments.
5.For the next two days, do not rinse your mouth forcefully because this may remove blood clots present over the wound. Blood clots are very important to wound healing; eliminating them can delay the healing process. A dry socket may result from this.
5. Do not brush your teeth very vigorously for the next few days as you may pinch the wound.
7. To remove the suture after tooth extraction, wait a week in your dental clinic, and then do not pull it.
8.Take the tablets prescribed by your dentist regularly and do not skip them.
Please inform your dentist of your problem if you have severe bleeding after tooth removal 24 hours after the extraction.
In addition, replacing your missing teeth as soon as possible is the most important thing to remember. However, it is not necessary to replace your third molar, also known as the Wisdom Teeth.

This patient came to me with a large swelling and pain from her lower right first mandibular molar. We determined that the cause of the problem was that this tooth most likely had a vertical root fracture. This then led to the death of this tooth, and subsequent infection and pain.

In cases like these, the only treatment is for us to remove the tooth.
